Overview of Position:

We are currently looking for 2 Journeyman Construction Electricians for work primarily on out-of-town jobs . The successful candidate will have experience working as a Journeyman Electrician in a residential and commercial settings. The Journeyman Electrician must have a strong dedication to health and safety in the workplace, ensuring they perform their duties in accordance with our policies and procedures. Our company offers a wide range of experience with projects in residential, commercial, and industrial sectors. Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct apprentices and ensure they receive the proper training, support job training for apprentices, and facilitate mentoring.
  • Work on electric HVAC equipment
  • Complete residential and commercial wiring, Electrical Services and typical systems in a home/commercial building
  • Take an interest in keeping a clean and organized work site
  • Utilize knowledge of the CEC, standard practice and general construction methods
  • Work with all electrical systems typically in electrician scope, Fire alarm, data, DDC, Motor controls, Electrical Services of all sizes, Electrical Distribution, lighting, Emergency lighting, Generators and ATS
  • Develop deficiencies lists and communicate them to management in a professional way along with estimated timelines to completion
  • Read and interpret blueprints and specifications
  • Follow applicable construction safety procedures

 

Qualifications:

  • Able to take the lead on the electrical installation of a home/building
  • Experience working in residential and commercial settings.
  • Appropriate credentials and certifications as a Construction Journeyperson Electrician
  • Strong organization skills.
  • Go getter, able to work on the tools and provide direction to apprentices.
  • Ability to work independently in a busy environment.
  • Highly flexible, with solid interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse working environment.
  • Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Basic knowledge of hand tools and basic power tools.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and independently.
  • Possess a valid driver’s license.
  • Strong knowledge in safety
  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs

 

Work conditions:

Travel to off-site locations as necessary on a rotation of up to 21 days on / 7 days off .

Required to wear required safety equipment. Exposure to hazards associated with the trade, work both indoors and outdoors, construction sites, noise, heavy equipment moving through work areas.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From $42.88 per hour

Additional pay: Overtime pay
