Industrial Professional Spray Painter

Job Summary:
Our client is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Painter / Sprayer / Wood Staining Specialist to join  their team for a 4 week assignment. The ideal candidate has experience working in upscale residential environments and is proficient in fine finishing techniques, including spraying, staining, and surface preparation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare surfaces for painting, staining, and finishing (sanding, cleaning, masking, priming)
• Apply paints, stains, lacquers, and clear finishes using spray equipment and manual techniques
• Mix and match stains and finishes to achieve consistent, high-quality results
• Operate and maintain spray equipment (HVLP, airless systems, etc.)
• Perform touch-ups and repairs to ensure flawless finishes
• Work with a variety of wood products including cabinetry, trim, doors, and custom millwork
• Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized workspace
• Collaborate with project managers, designers, and other trades on-site

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in professional painting, spraying, or wood finishing
• Strong knowledge of finishing products, techniques, and equipment
• Experience working in high-end residential or custom interior environments preferred
• Keen eye for detail, color matching, and surface quality
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Reliable, punctual, and committed to craftsmanship excellence

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with custom cabinetry finishing
• Familiarity with fine finishing systems (conversion varnish, lacquer, etc.)
• Knowledge of wood types and stain behaviors
• Spray booth experience required
• Pay $32 per hour
