Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
- Operate various sheet metal equipment.
- Perform the following:
- deburring
- polishing
- hydroforming
- manual forming
- Work from blueprints, templates, etc. using pneumatic and manual hand tools.
- Align metal parts or structural components in relation to each other with the use of dowel pins, wedges, jacks, turnbuckles, and other construction aids.
- Layout most sheet metal patterns proficiently.
- May be assigned miscellaneous tasks outside craft as required.
- Training will be provided.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- 1 year of relevant experience
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to work with small, high-quality parts.
- Excellent math and mechanical skills
- Must be able to speak and understand the English language.
- Ability to adapt to new situations and challenges.
- Positive attitude
Preferred Skills
Good communication skills, strong problem-solving skills – particularly relevant in managing customer concerns, flexible to work rotating shifts to accommodate production schedule, must disclose any physical restrictions regarding bending, twisting, heavy lifting (<50lbs), and long hour standing for 7–8 hours.
